2018 Participating Hālau

The list of participating hālau has been finalized and we’ve got a great line-up for 2018. Many of our hālau are returning again this year, such as Hālau Hiʻiakaināmakalehua, Kawailiʻulā, Hālau I Ka Wēkiu, and last year’s Lokaliʻa Montgomery Overall winner, Ka Lā ʻŌnohi Mai O Haʻehaʻe. Other hālau who rested from competition last years are returning as well, like Hālau Nā Mamo O Puʻuanahulu and Hālau O Ka Ua Kani Lehua. We also have a hālau from Washington State, Keʻala ʻO Kamailelauliʻiliʻi, that is entering for the first time, and hopefully they do as well as last year’s first-time entrants who took home awards.
